Knot-FreeKnot-FreeFrom an aesthetic point of view, this is the best Fiemme 3000 selection. According to the available possibilities and the essence, we choose planks without knots or that, according to the variation chosen, are the most homogeneous and uniform of the lot.
KnottyKnottyThis selection includes boards with healthy knots, avoiding at the same time an excessive rustic look. According to the essence used, it is possible also to find big knots, but mainly healthy or well-repaired.
VariegatedVariegatedThis is the most natural Fiemme 3000 selection. This variation presents all the peculiarities that nature accords wood as a pure gift. Therefore the main features of this selection are knots (even big ones), cracks, colours, spots, etc. It is possible to find also traces of sapwood.
SmoothSmoothAfter glueing and profiling, the noble layer is polished with 220/240 grams abrasive paper (very fine). After this polishing session, the wood is treated to obtain a perfectly flat surface, without other distinctive traits.
BrushedBrushedSpecial brushes remove the superficial and more tender part of the wood, leaving the hardest wood grains on the surface and providing a higher resistance against wear and tear.
Deeply BrushedDeeply BrushedAs in the brushed treatment, pecial brushes remove the superficial and more tender part of the wood: the action of the brushes is stronger, resulting in a deep embossed wood grain and a more rustic look.
PlanedPlanedThis technique provides results similar to those obtained with the ancient techniques used to level and polish raw boards. The floor acquires a longitudinal wavy surface, creating particular movements and glares.
SeasonedSeasonedThrough a series of particular interventions performed on the noble part of the plank, we create abrasions and modulations that imitate the marks left by the passing of time and foot traffic. The plank is finished by hand bevelling all its edges.
Woodworm-eatenWoodworm-eatenUsing a mix of modern technologies and handicraft techniques, we recreate artificially on the surface of 20% of the boards the holes made by wood-worms and the speckles left by parasites, giving the floor the charm of a seasoned and aged wooden floor.
Hand BevelledHand BevelledUsing amazing handicraft skills, the edges of the planks are bevelled by hand, emphasizing the boards’ dimensions and shape. The edges of the planks look more marked and irregular, as if worn by time and use.
Round BevelledRound BevelledThe edges of the planks are scraped off manually to create a round and irregular effect. The resulting aspect of the boards is softer and embossed compared to the rest of the surface. This working is always combined with brushing.
